Receive a platform notification for new messages so you don't miss anything important
Besides an email notification for each new message, a web notification is also sent which can be from the notification tray in the Data Management portal.

The notification tray shows different project events including conversations and other project activities. Refer to the adjacent image to the left for reference.
A dedicated tab for messages is available to separate out important project notification from other types of activities.
Lastly, web notification for a particular project only appears if the user 1) is a project participant and 2) has enabled app notification for new messages for said project. Users can edit their notification preference from their Profile page.
